OAP Foot Problems

OAP's elderly and diabetic patients can be vulnerable to foot problems even when they are generally healthy people.

This is often made worse during winter time with the cold weather with inactivity and poor circulation.

They are often unable to reach their feet to and carry out the simple task of cleaning and taking care of their feet.

Many pensioners find it hard to leave the house during the winter months where home visits can be beneficial as-well as providing social company.

Appointments can be scheduled regularly in advance at times that suit you; depending on the problem it may be necessary to book regular home visits appointments.

They are also beneficial as home visits can be made during the evening and even weekends giving the patient flexibility.

Some of the treatments provided in a home visit are:

  • Cutting and filing of toenails and fingernails
  • Foot soak and scrub
  • Dry and cracked heels
  • Athlete`s foot
  • Corn and callouses treatment
  • Fungus Nail
  • Thickened nails
